As new job has started I have regained the ability to do what I love which is play dress up.

When I worked at the physical therapy clinic I had to wear a uniform and when I cleaned houses I just wore workout clothes. The only way I could make myself feel special was to do up my hair and makeup. The occasional accessory was added if it wasn't too much fuss.

With working as a legal assistant for a law office, an outfit is planned the night before down to the shoes and earrings. I mean, I have to dress up don't I? It's required! 

Some people I talk to loathe the routine of getting up in the morning to put on their face and figure out the next pair of pants to wear. Me? I live for this. 

Daily, I flip through my fashion magazines and scroll about my favorite style blogs to gain inspiration of what a new outfit might hold. Pinterest has been a great help when I look for color combinations and hair styles. 

While at my desk today, one of my co-workers said to me that she thought I always had pretty makeup on and wanted to have a girls party where I did everyone's makeup. Really? Me?! I felt and feel so special!

Without a doubt I am the kind of lady who even plans what eye-shadows I want to wear for the next day.

Okay so the Creaseless Cream in RSVP all over the lid, maybe a little Coffeebean in the outer-v of the eye with  Black Honey smudged along the lash line. Okay...now...lips....peach petal or kitten gloss?

You may think I'm joking but my mind works like that way. Hear you me, I am unapologetic about that. My passions are fashion and makeup.

It seems like the older you get the more you find yourself saying how quickly the months and years pass by. August was no less the same as every month, it blew past us beckoning September.

Good Morning

 

 Good morning, lovelies!

I came back, not too long ago, from dropping off Adam for a job. Because we live so close to a Panera we decided to leave a little early to treat ourselves for getting up so early on a Saturday. We literally rolled out of bed, with hairs out of place and sleepy eyes, to get our favorites...Our never fail order that we get every time.

Me: Cinnamon Raisin Bagel, toasted and sliced but no cream cheese. Iced Sugar-free vanilla soy latte.

Adam: Cinnamon Crunch Bagel, toasted and sliced but no cream cheese and Sprite.

You can tell who the complicated order-er is...guilty as charged.

While he's off working I thought I'd drop in to say hello and wish you a lovely lazy weekend. 

Today I have to visit David's Bridal to find a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding on October 1st. 

Note: I have yet to try one on. Note: If you've ever ordered a dress from DB it takes roughly 6 weeks for a dress to come in. Note: I might have royally been the worst bridesmaid ever. Note: The wedding day is 6 weeks from today. Note: Holy Crap.

Here's to hoping, wishing and praying that if all else fails my mom can help me (pull-twist-let out-hem-restructure-flip upside down) with this dress of mine.

New Opportunities

Oh my word life has been so hectic! Since my last post we finished housesitting and grew to love Curly, their larger than life Labra-doodle and I started a new job. We celebrated our friend Jessica's 25th birthday by eating mexican and bowling with lots of old friends. My heart was filled at the end of the night, I do miss hanging out with that group so very much. We also went out to dinner with some Memphis favorites, Zack, Kira and Poole. I miss Kira's friendship dearly, I was glad to talk with her again for sure.

I don't believe I've had more than 2-3 hours at my house to relax since Saturday evening which is why I haven't had to chance to update. Although it is nice to be busy :)

My new job has been such a great experience so far and my co-workers are beyond kind to me. I worked at this office last summer while Adam and I came back to Nashville and they so nicely offered the job to me again!

I have t-minus 3 mintues on my lunch break so I should probably brush my teeth and get back to work.

Tonight I hope to post again with more lovely pictures and a new video should be up in the next couple of days.
