Cruel Cruel Summer

Good Evening!
We’ve begun a new week in the midst of a steamy summer and I already want fall.
It surprises me when I watch the news people talking about sky-high temperatures. Has heat in the summer really surprised you? Did you live in a land of dry coolness, because living in the south is always very humid and hot from mid May through September. When I say hot, I mean it easily reaches 100 if not a few degrees higher.
If ever I were to spend a summer away, it would be in San Francisco where it is always 60 outside. I’m just not a summer person…I don’t do well with being a sweaty mess.
 On another note…our weekend was so nice, I had Friday off which was such a treat! Poor Adam had to study the entire time, though he did get our tires changed on Saturday. (Thanks, Love!) He is definitely clocking in 10+ hours a day in the books. Taking the bar, or at least studying for it, has become such a large hill to climb. I hear from his friends from law school of how they are doing and how they’re freaking out. My heart goes out to all of you! I am in awe of your ability to retain such an enormous amount of information and be under great stress. For hubby and his classmates from Memphis, the first testing day is next Wednesday. {Say a prayer, please!}
 As I said, Friday became a day for me to rest. I hung out with friends that night for dinner but all of the plans made previously, completely changed. Regardless, we had fun eating at Mafiaoza's, a pizza joint in the 12th South district of Nashville.
Saturday I spent with two beautiful ladies, Miss Holli in particular, getting a green juice from whole foods and browsing around the mall.  Love girl time.
Sunday my parents invited us over for lunch and I was able to see my brother, Josh!! I miss him so much and don’t get to see him as often as I’d like. We all (minus Adam, he was studying) watched “Life As We Know It” and I charmed everyone’s pants off  by bringing it over. Such a cute movie…
Also because my grandfather will be moving in with my parents for a bit I was given the assignment to go through my crap from my old room. I found about 634,752,194 journals from 1994-2002 filled with “Oh my gosh I just don’t know if he could ever like me” and “Like, can you believe she told Cassidy to get her own?”. I was pure drama at 12. I started to read them when I got home as I was organizing and had to just put them away…life at 12 was lived in a bubble…a dramatic bubble. I’d rather not relive those years again.
So here we are at Monday, pretty uneventful though I was able to fully straighten up my house {folded laundry was piling up everywhere} and grab groceries.
I filmed a new video and I hope to post soon, but until then I’m going to get my sleep on.

Have a wonderful night, I will talk to you soon…
