There I go, I've done it again.
It is 12:38 AM and where am I at? Lying on the floor typing away at the blog neglecting precious sleep time. That's what you get when you drink caffeinated iced tea late at night.

We're currently housesitting for a family and taking care of their daughter, Adair, until Sunday afternoon. We were all in a hustle today preparing for these 5 days away from home...you know how this goes, make sure the house is picked up, wash all clothes, empty trashcan, take care of dishes...and so on and so forth. Much effort was put forth but now we're nestled into our room.
You know, it's quite nice to be in a new place every once in a while....tends to give me perspective and appreciation for what I have...it's also nice to have a mini vacation...
So in a valiant effort to savor what few hours I have left to sleep I'm going to crawl into bed next to my already slumbered hubby. More updates to come and a new video as well!
I hope you all have a splendid nights rest!
Talk to you soon,
xoxo .bd

Happy Wednesday, we have officially made it to the middle of the week.

To accompany my post on Monday, I thought it might be fun to show a part of our grocery shopping trip. If you live in or around Memphis, I am sure you have seen the buildings with large orange signs saying EASY WAY. An answer on the local chain’s website answering a question as to why they chose such a bright sign is, “The color orange is supposed to be an appetite stimulant and also draws a lot of attention.”
Simply stated, I think.
This place is full of fruits, vegetables, local items such as cheese, honey, breads, goodies and milk. The prices are always much cheaper than what is at our local grocery store or Whole Foods. We typically go in like kids in a candy store and pick out everything we want because it is so affordable. Because of the quantity we buy at a time, we shop there every other week.
With that said, here is what we bought today!

Our Receipt:
Atauflo Mangos               $0.69
Sliced Mushrooms             $1.99
Fla Strawberries (2 @ 0.99)  $1.98
Kale Greens (2 @ 2/1.00)          $1.00
Sweet Red Onions             $0.73
Carrots 1LB                  $0.89
Lemons                       $0.33
Broccoli                     $1.99
Peaches                      $2.15
Kiwi Fruit (2 @ .59)         $1.18
Bananas                      $0.65

      BALANCE                      $14.63
Total Number of Items Sold    =14

Afterward we have a fridge filled with yummy food and eager bellies.

Here’s to getting through the next few days of the work week.
Have a lovely evening!

Wednesday is already here, our home's favorite night of the work week.
For lunch today a few of my co workers, along with Adam and I, went to Moe's. Tomorrow is the last day for one of our interns, Leah, and Friday is my last day.  In honor of the good things about to come this summer for the two of us we celebrated by chowing down on mexican food.
I haven't mentioned it in any previous posts as I wasn't sure of many details; Adam and I will be taking a break from Memphis for the summer and will be in Nashville. We had initially planned on staying here but knew there were many more opportunities available to us elsewhere. In faith we trusted that God would provide for our finances regardless of rent and other bills due while away.
Out of the blue a friend offered to watch our home for the summer as well as help pay for utilities which helps immensely. Also the two of us have landed jobs that will supply enough income for our necessities while in Nashville and back in Memphis. Blessings Blessings Blessings.
There have undoubtedly been hitches yet we know God's plans are far great than we could imagine. This is a learning process for sure.
We'll leave Monday morning for our summer adventure and I must get to packing! Oh my word there are too many things we have to bring. Where will we find the space?
Have a lovely hump day, I'll talk to you soon!

Before I settle into bed to finish my book (I've already bought the sequel!) I wanted to make a quick post.
Last week I was told from a friend at work about a little Italian restaurant close to our house, Old Venice, that has Wednesday 1/2 price wine night. Let's just say when they gave us the warm bread and olive oil with spices followed by a glass of White Zinfandel I was in heaven.
There's something so special about a random night of the week suddenly made into a date with my love...and to boot, wine!
On another note, with the change of every season I get the inkling to do something different with myself. Literally,
"do". After seeing lots of styles I've grown quite fond of these:

You know, something with volume...
