What's In My Summer Bag?

Don't you just love the paused picture of me? Oh so flattering, I know.
As promised I wanted to share another video with you all!
Here you get to see inside the mysterious world of a woman's bag.
Growing up I remember my dad and brother being afraid to grab something out of my purse if they needed something...as if their hand would get trapped or they would find out things about me they didn't want to know.
I am enamored with watching these videos on youtube and have always wanted to do one. Please let me know if you end up doing one and share the link!
Again, I'll be posting more videos as I think it's a fun way to interact with you!

We've already reached the end of Wednesday so here's to only a couple of more days until the weekend! Is it sad I'm counting them down? Or....how about 6 days until my 2yr wedding anniversary?! Crazy crazy. Alright I'm off to bed....have a lovely nights rest or if you're reading this in the morning, as I know my mom will, I hope your coffee is just right.
Talk to you soon,

Seeing this drawing makes me long for the beach and a vacation away from all of the schedules and due dates that consume our lives as of late.
I'm dreaming of the day, hopefully sooner than later, when my love and I can sit with the ocean at our feet.
Until then...

Cruel Cruel Summer

Good Evening!
We’ve begun a new week in the midst of a steamy summer and I already want fall.
It surprises me when I watch the news people talking about sky-high temperatures. Has heat in the summer really surprised you? Did you live in a land of dry coolness, because living in the south is always very humid and hot from mid May through September. When I say hot, I mean it easily reaches 100 if not a few degrees higher.
If ever I were to spend a summer away, it would be in San Francisco where it is always 60 outside. I’m just not a summer person…I don’t do well with being a sweaty mess.
 On another note…our weekend was so nice, I had Friday off which was such a treat! Poor Adam had to study the entire time, though he did get our tires changed on Saturday. (Thanks, Love!) He is definitely clocking in 10+ hours a day in the books. Taking the bar, or at least studying for it, has become such a large hill to climb. I hear from his friends from law school of how they are doing and how they’re freaking out. My heart goes out to all of you! I am in awe of your ability to retain such an enormous amount of information and be under great stress. For hubby and his classmates from Memphis, the first testing day is next Wednesday. {Say a prayer, please!}
As I said, Friday became a day for me to rest. I hung out with friends that night for dinner but all of the plans made previously, completely changed. Regardless, we had fun eating at Mafiaoza's, a pizza joint in the 12th South district of Nashville.
Saturday I spent with two beautiful ladies, Miss Holli in particular, getting a green juice from whole foods and browsing around the mall.  Love girl time.
Sunday my parents invited us over for lunch and I was able to see my brother, Josh!! I miss him so much and don’t get to see him as often as I’d like. We all (minus Adam, he was studying) watched “Life As We Know It” and I charmed everyone’s pants off  by bringing it over. Such a cute movie…
Also because my grandfather will be moving in with my parents for a bit I was given the assignment to go through my crap from my old room. I found about 634,752,194 journals from 1994-2002 filled with “Oh my gosh I just don’t know if he could ever like me” and “Like, can you believe she told Cassidy to get her own?”. I was pure drama at 12. I started to read them when I got home as I was organizing and had to just put them away…life at 12 was lived in a bubble…a dramatic bubble. I’d rather not relive those years again.
So here we are at Monday, pretty uneventful though I was able to fully straighten up my house {folded laundry was piling up everywhere} and grab groceries.
I filmed a new video and I hope to post soon, but until then I’m going to get my sleep on.

Have a wonderful night, I will talk to you soon…

As I have the day off, I decided to clear the cobwebs from this poorly neglected blog.
June flew by as has July already and the summer is hotter than ever. I have been working on a few new things for this little world of mine and I hope it is received well!
Lovelies, enjoy your Friday and the beginning to a beautiful summer weekend. May these next few nights be filled with warm breezes and breathtaking sunsets.

Talk to you soon,
xoxo .bd

Last night I was talking with my husband, lying on the floor after a long and tiring day, about where I wanted to be most. Instead of staring at the pile of towels that needed to be folded I wished I were starting through a window at different city...
Let's say San Francisco or Seattle....any where along the west coast without this awful humidity and cicada's.

I wanted it to be 10:30 in the morning, sitting at a cafe reading my newest book and staring at people walking by.
Someday soon we'll be jet-setting to different cities only to sit at a hole-in-the-wall sipping on a latte enjoying the morning. Someday...

We've already made it to the middle of the week, almost past it, really.
Our weekend was special spending it entirely with family, a perk of being back in Nashville.
Monday was a much needed break but we have been thrust into quite a busy week since then. It's not a pretty job but I am always in lovely places. Large home, gorgeous interiors, fancy jewelery, expensive bags...you get the picture. Though none of those items are mine, I simply clean them for others, one day I will have a life of grandeur. Until that day comes I will obsess over beautiful pictures I see in magazines and online. I browse through blogs and tumblrs to escape sometimes and I store those photos to keep them close and to dream.

Because of my obsession, which has gone on for years mind you, I have begun to overload our computer with too many files. The husband doesn't like that too much saying things about gigabytes and not having enough of them left. Without really understanding what he meant I just nodded and said yes and found another venue who was more accepting of my...love's. Thank goodness for this place because I have been storing pictures left and right. Feel free to browse if you would like, I tried to organize things to make it easy.

Above are a few of the pictures I've gathered...
Seeing as it's 8 minutes until midnight and I should be sleeping right now, I'll let you go.
I hope to talk to you soon, sleep well!
